Return policy

At this time, all sales are final. Returns and exchanges are not accepted.

Handmade ceramic pieces will naturally have variations in colour, shape, and finish - these are inherent to the pottery process and part of what makes each piece unique. Every item is carefully crafted and thoroughly inspected to ensure it meets my quality standards before shipping it off to its new home. 

In the rare event that your order arrives damaged or there is an issue with your purchase, please contact me within 72 hours of delivery. Messages will be responded to within 1 business day.

Shipping

Shekla Studios is a small-batch ceramics studio based in Toronto, Ontario. Each piece is handmade with care, and shipping timelines reflect the nature of slow, intentional production.

Where We Ship

At this time, Shekla Studios ships within Canada only.
We do not offer international shipping.

Order Processing Time

All orders are shipped from Toronto, Ontario.

  • Ready-to-ship items: Orders are processed within 4–7 business days.
  • Made-to-order items: Processing times vary and are listed in the product description. Please allow 6–10 weeks for production before shipping.

You will receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking information once your order has been dispatched.

Shipping Rates & Methods

Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on your location, package size, and current carrier rates. Orders are shipped primarily via Canada Post with tracking. Occasionally, an alternative courier may be used at our discretion to ensure safe and timely delivery.

As a small business, Shekla Studios is unable to offer free shipping at this time.

Estimated Delivery Times (After Dispatch)

Delivery times are estimates and not guaranteed.

  • Ontario: 1–5 business days
  • Rest of Canada: 7–10 business days

Please note that delays due to weather, carrier disruptions, or high-volume periods are outside our control.

Packaging

Ceramics are fragile, and all orders are carefully packed to help ensure safe delivery. We take care to balance protective packaging with efforts to reduce unnecessary waste where possible.

Damaged Orders

If your order arrives damaged, please contact us at shekla.studios@gmail.com within 48 hours of delivery and include:

  • Your order number
  • Clear photos of the damaged item
  • Photos of the packaging

We’ll review the issue and work with you toward a resolution.

Lost or Delayed Packages

Once an order has been shipped, Shekla Studios is not responsible for delays, lost packages, or delivery errors caused by the shipping carrier. However, we’re happy to assist with filing a claim when applicable.

Local Pickup 

Local pickup in Toronto may be available by arrangement and will appear as an option at checkout when offered - this is not always available and must be arranged on a case-by-case basis.

Our products are made locally, by hand in Toronto, ON, Canada.
